6-Step Operating Workflow

A Clear 6-Step Process for Purchasing in Türkiye

The starting point is your purchasing decision. Some buyers need a manufacturer shortlist. Others already have a quotation and want a factory visit before placing an order. We agree the assignment that fits your current stage.

Step 1 — Share the requirement

Tell us what you want to buy, the quantity, destination and intended application. Include drawings, product references or a specification if available. If you already have a supplier, send the company name, factory location and your contact there.

Explain the question you most need answered. It may concern production capability, an unclear quotation, an order milestone or shipment readiness.

Step 2 — Define a workable scope

We review the brief and identify missing information, access requirements and any specialist work. Factory attendance depends on the location, appointment, supplier cooperation and activities available to observe.

You receive a proposed scope describing tasks, deliverables, exclusions, costs and the assumptions behind the schedule. Where several visits or specialist providers are needed, they are identified separately.

Step 3 — Agree the engagement

The service begins under the agreed commercial terms. The scope states who commissions the work, who receives the report and which decisions remain with the buyer.

For buyer representation, product pricing and the goods contract remain between the buyer and the supplier. Any separate supply quotation from CFY is identified as a seller’s offer.

Step 4 — Carry out the agreed tasks

Depending on the assignment, this may involve supplier research, document collection, quotation comparison, factory attendance, milestone follow-up or loading observation.

We record the source and limits of the information. A supplier statement is identified as a statement; a document is identified by its reference; a direct observation is recorded against the agreed check.

Step 5 — Review findings and open items

You receive the agreed output: a shortlist, comparison, visit record, milestone update or observation report. Open items identify what remains unanswered, why it matters and which party should respond.

A report may identify an issue without resolving it. Additional inspection, rework confirmation, testing or a return visit can be scoped when the buyer needs it.

Step 6 — Decide the next stage

You decide whether to proceed, seek clarification, request a change or commission further work. We can continue with the next defined task, or the assignment can end once its deliverables are complete.

What helps the process run well

A usable specification, a named buyer decision-maker and a cooperative supplier make the work easier to organise. Changes in product scope, factory location, production date or shipment plan should be communicated as soon as they are known so the assignment can be adjusted.
